African Wildlife Art by Belinda Marshall
About Belinda Marshall
Belinda Marshall is a born and bred Zimbabwean artist living in Zimbabwe's second biggest city of Bulawayo where she works full-time in her studio at home.
Originally trained in Textile Design she decided to try her hand at wildlife art finding she had a talent for it. As a self taught wildlife artist she has had several local exhibitions as well as taking part in an exhibition in London, UK. She now has paintings all over the world with commissions coming from UK, Spain, Germany, Russia, Australia and South Africa with paintings as far afield as Croatia.
As well as capturing the essence of Africas Wildlife she also now does portraiture work having done some magnificent portraits of Masai Warriors (Kenya) and Himba (Namibia) adorned with all their jewellry and hunting regalia. Branching out for the Hunters that visit Zimbabwe's Big Game Areas she has undertaken portrait commissions of themselves on their hunts. She paints mainly in oils on Elephant ears as well as leather and canvas with her work primarily on a commission basis.
